Negative experience: DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. As a former worker for thoes Scammers i would not recommend anyone to work there or to use their service. Cheaper price but a nightmare service. They have no idea what Customer Service is. Never honer their promises to customers or employees. Missleading and mistreating their customers and employees. They even tried to scam me to avoid paying me for the short period i worked for them. And for employees report them to the MOHRE as soon as they start the run around.
Negative experience: The worst application ever, they gave me a very bad car and it keeps giving me high temperature indicator& check engine.. and no one is replying to the chat. They are soooo fast to take money. After that no one will get back to you

Negative experience: Worst service I have seen in the UAE. I paid and they never delivered. 4 days took me to reach them as they don't answer their customer service call center line. Never again with such companies.

Negative experience: Only two words - Cheaters and unprofessional. They will never gave you deposit money even after 40 days, customer service is pathetic. They charge money from your card without intimating you, even after taking security deposit. Staffs are really unprofessional. Never ever buy car from them or else you will loose the money for sure.
Negative experience: Refund process just brought down the trust level to Zero. Continuous calls and mails to get the refund processed. Wouldn’t advice for anybody even if they offer for less money compared to others.

Negative experience: Никогда не пользуйтесь их услугами. Деньги списали быстро, машину не пригнали. Ни в этот день, ни на следующий, ни через день. Сотрудники валят друг на друга, звонят поочереди чтобы рассказать какие-либо причины. В итоге, их машиной так и не удалось воспользоваться, а вот они моими деньгами будут пользоваться теперь как минимум 45 дней. Причем еще и спишут все, что у них в договоре написано, даже не сомневаюсь. Это ВОРОВСТВО
Negative experience: Do not book them, their customer service is horrible. They do not answer the phone and rarely answer their email. I am waiting for the security deposit for more than a month and more than 30 working days.
Negative experience: Awful service. Immediately after paying for the reservation, they called me and said that the car was not ready. I had to go to the police. I’m waiting for my money back.

Positive experience: Highly recommend for their excellent service but I had an issue with my Nissan Sunny, the car I rented had damaged wiper blades during a rainy season. I had to drive back in heavy rain to get them replaced in 45 minutes. They should've inspected the blades before handing over the car.
Negative experience: Avoid dealing with them, they took my rental money and deposit and didn't give me the car and promised to refund full amount within 3-5 days and I am waiting and sending emails and calls for 10 days, they didn't rey or return my money
Negative experience: I would rate the self-drive service with only one star only for their user friendly app. Everything else fell well below my expectations and does not deserve any rating. I made a car booking 3-4 weeks in advance, selecting the option for car delivery. The payment was immediately charged to my card, but unfortunately, the information about the car delivery was not relayed to the vendor. When the car failed to arrive, I contacted the vendor who informed me that they had not received any information from the self-drive team. To make matters worse, the self-drive team is only available during working hours, and it is impossible to reach anyone after that time. The vendor stated that they couldn't assist me without confirmation from self-drive, leaving me no choice but to go and collect the car myself, even late at night. Now, as I write this, it has been over 3 weeks since I returned the car, but my refund issue remains unresolved. Additionally, they charged a hold amount that has yet to be credited back to my account. I exhausted all possible communication channels—calls, emails, and WhatsApp—but had no luck in getting a response from them. The lack of attention or courtesy in their email correspondence is disappointing. Based on my experience, I strongly suggest paying a bit more for a service that provides better after-sales support and avoids such hassles. It is unfortunate that I had to endure these difficulties, and I hope they resolve my refund issue soon.
Negative experience: Beware of using them ! They delivered a car 24 hours after the agreed time, but refuse to refund the money for the day stating that you can use it for a day more if you want. Isnt it the customer who decides what he wants and for how long? Further, I had made a mistake on the booking period (booked it for a week more than I needed it for), so called them even before they delivered the car to make the change and reduce the booking. They failed to log the request and again refuse to refund saying you can use it for more days if you want. The call center is non-responsive, I got to speak to an agent after 10 attempts. And on picking, they just kept repeating 'no refunds sir' instead of trying to understand the incident and give a suitable response. Booking No. BI956236 !
Negative experience: I arranged for my car to be picked up as I was going back to the UK before the end of my month with Selfdrive. They told me it would be picked up at 7pm which was perfect as I was to head to the airport at 10.20pm. However the person they had sent to pick up car did not arrive till 10.35pm at which point I had already started my journey to the airport. This meant the car was kept under my name for 2 extra days till I returned as the customer services could not be contacted. Selfdrive then went onto charging me an extra 330 AED for the 2 extra days even though it was not my fault for the delay in returning the car. I have sent 13 emails since my return 2 weeks ago and there has been no reply from the company. They are super quick to charge you but will ignore you at every opportunity. Customer service is atrocious.
Negative experience: I usually never post reviews but this company is pushed me over the edge. Worst experience ever. Customer service is horrible. They charge my card left and right for anything they decide to charge including fake fines. Even after returning the car instead of charging against my deposit for a small pump or 1 dash under on the gas they continue to charge my card claiming they will return my deposit in full 2 months later.
Negative experience: I'm not happy with my experience with selfdrive for 3 reasons: 1- they are not dealing with cash so if you are visitor in UAE and don't have bank account they will deduct from your credit card in your home country with high fees. 2- they will send u an email for contact numbers in case you need any help 24/7 but I tried to call them 2 times and they close the line! 3- after returning the car they need 35 WORKING DAYS to return the deposit, so if your visit to UAE is short maybe you will not get your deposit back!

Negative experience: Don’t don’t don’t ever even think twice of getting yourself a car from here unless you want to Jill yourself right afterwards. In 1 month both cars I received had a fault battery, yes just the battery which can be changed in under 10 mins but NO Selfdrive 6 hours to show up and save you from Your issue. Second tho which is what I’m going through right now as I write, is having the replaced car go through the same exact issue of a battery breakdown AGAIN!? Like cmon how inconvenient can you be still waiting for my rental to either have it replaced or the battery replaced…since 3 hours ago, still waiting!
Negative experience: Dear Selfdrive team , Kindly note that it is the first time for me to deal with selfdrive and I'm really sorry to say that it was a very bad experience as i booked a car on 10th March 2022 and paid for it and received email to collect it from ( Budget at - Sahara Mall Sharjah on 11th March 2022 at 10:00 AM) I came on time from Fujairah and i surprised that the branch was closing so i called the customer service to understand what's going on and after many calls they informed me that there is no car at all in this branch and the car will be ready at 3:00 PM from Umrah Mall from Dubai which mean after 5 hours from my appointment. I'm really very upset because all this mess , and wasting of time like nobody care about the customers. I'm raising this complaint to you for your professional action.
Negative experience: Regret renting from this company. All these 1 star reviews tell a story.. here’s my review… 1. They lease their cars from Diamond Lease then add a premium 2. Customer service is poor and rude once they have your money or card details 3. They charge your card without pre-warning 4. They don’t arrive to deliver on time or collect - but charge a premium for that service 5. If you ask to meet at their office, they say they don’t have a physical location - I received 2 speeding penalties, and a AED 3000 fine that when challenged at the police station could not be found on their system. The only evidence that SelfDrive could provide to me was a picture of the car number plate and location. They maintained that because the car was registered in Abu Dhabi that the 3000 fine was to defer the car been impounded. They charged the money to the card without any discussion. Avoid, Avoid, AVOID!!!!
Negative experience: Everything is good. Booking ,extension... but when the car goes into issues you can't find replacement since they only work on daily routine hours. And on holidays and non office hours no road side assistance as of now I am sitting in the street parking main reason car breakdown and no response on roadside assistance

Negative experience: The worst rental company ever! i has been contact then since July 7th and they barely respond and reply! And at the end they rejected my request! With out mentioning the reason ! Poor service even from the call Center no one wants to help. To me they feel like scammers ! I’m not sure if they do exist!
