Negative experience: Selfdrive drive is an froude company. Please don't book rent a car in self drive. I booked a rent a car selfdrive in dubai. And cancelled the booking because of 4 hours waiting for car. But money has been taken from my bank continues for 5 days without renting a car also taken 1000 AED from my account. Still i didn't get my refund. Please don't hire a car from this cheating company

Negative experience: A very stupid reservation team specially the Philipino. She keep calling me for the new booking on the WhatsApp. Yesterday they book the booking. And they send email after 5 hours after a lot of messages I send. Now in the morning they saying we cancel your booking. .

When I asked them where is my money they told me that it is my fault that I did not follow up. Negative experience: The worst company you ever deal with and zero credibility in the term of refund and customer service, At the start everything is fast within a minute they will deduct the rent charges and the security deposit and they will tell you that within 30 working days you will receive your refund !!! But it won’t happen unless you email them twenty time and of course they won’t respond back soon and when you call them and deal number 5 for refund you will hear the recording voice saying in 30 days you got your refund, Than some one will answer but he won’t help because there is nothing in his hand and when you ask to speak to the self drive manager or the concern person to resolve your issue they won’t give you the email or number and non from there management will bother to call you or email , so guys when you going to rent don’t expect that you will get your refund before 45 days to 2 month and don’t expect that someone from the management of self drive will bother to call you and apologize for the delay.

I've been trying to reach out to selfdrive to just inquire on a vehicle with them and its been 6 day's till now. Negative experience: This issue was raised to the team after 60 days of non-refund of security deposit . 1)According to Sagar, a team member, the refund was completed on Monday and you will receive the funds by Thursday. 2) I contacted again on Friday and was told it would be done today. 3) After 4 days, Priya today claims the refund will be processed today and asks to talk with the manager. 4)Senior Shahrukh speaks to every client as he is speaking to child in very lullaby tone, when I pointed this out to Shahrukh says if he speaks like a man I will keep my phone down is one the biggest liar you can ever meet and recruit in a company if you want to get the reputation to a third grade level eg. Speaking to manager and raise the issue needs written email . Refund was delayed due to RTA clearance not received ( RTA doesn't have a process of that sort, I know this as I work for rental company) Manager Shreya starts to raise the voice even before listening to my concerns says a different story Agrees that the delay happened was internal and will take the feedback. the whole conversation 1 hour 30 minutes In the mean time I have been charged 500 aed credit card late payment fees, due to the false promises made by the Self drive. Who will compensate for this. Very untrained team and a more untrained manager handling them even more untrained came to the call without any information as I was kept on hold for 3 to4 minutes, no professionalism, felt like dealing with newly started rental company. Replacement car I have attached pictures for everyone to see what to expect ,2 weeks chasing the supplier from self drive to get it changed no result given up.

Negative experience: Tried booking a second car. My card has been charged both the rent and deposit. But the car hasn't been provided. They told me they cant rent a second car after charging me. Two weeks passed still no money and no straightforward feedback from the customers' service. One person says the booking has been canceled the other cant find my booking, the third is just lying making it my fault. Very frustrating. Negative experience: 74 days after i returned the car and after having to make a complain to the Dubai Department of Economic Development, Selfdrive finally made the refund of my deposit. What a shame... To anyone willing to rent a car from them because of the cheap price : be ready to fight for your deposit or loose it (even though you return the car washed and in same condition) To anyone already in trouble with them : feel free to make a complain through the dubai consumer complaint website. It might solve your trouble with this "company"

Negative experience: Reposting again because self drive deleted my post. Avoid self drive at all cost! This is a horrible company. Liars, zero transparency, zero customer service, zero follow ups and fake promises given. I booked a car based on information provided by an agent. Once the booking was placed the information changed and I had to cancel the booking due to extra documentation required. I called the same agent back who said it is ok to cancel and no issues at all because the security deposit was not authorized yet and guaranteed that no money will be withdrawn from my account. A few days later my card was charged so that caused me to call to get a refund only to be told that my money wont be returned fully due to a penalty and it will take 3-5 business days. We are now over a week and my money has not been refunded. Everytime i call i get a guarantee that there will be a call back confirming full amount is back after checking with the accounts department. ZERO follow up has been provided. I have called over 5 times so far! I am a tourist in the country and used an outside card and the company does not even care. WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY in the UAE.

I rented a car on a monthly basis and 1-2 weeks in I got the worse backpain (i couldn’t even stand straight) I called them to inform them and suggested I lay a bit more to get a more comfortable car but she said I had to cancel the booking and make a new one!!
